Who We Are

Quintessential School Systems is a computer software company located in San Carlos, California. Our primary business is software and consulting services for the education administrative market. We also offer developers tools for the HP e3000. The company was founded in 1990 by five partners who have over 80 years of combined experience in providing data processing solutions for public school districts. Because of the experience of the partners and the skilled staff, QSS is uniquely qualified to provide quality solutions for your administrative computing needs. SCHOOL/3000 and STUDENT/3000

QSS has an exclusive license to distribute and support SCHOOL/3000 and STUDENT/3000 in the western United States. These two product lines represent a complete administrative and student records solution for K-12 districts and community colleges. SCHOOL/3000 is a fully integrated administrative system that includes general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, retirement, position control, human resources, stores warehousing, and fixed asset inventory. STUDENT/3000 is a fully integrated student record system that includes student registration, enrollment, scheduling, attendance, grading, transcripts, test scoring, and student discipline. For both product lines, we offer workshops to help our customers use their software more effectively.

QSS Proprietary Software

QSS offers Windows-based software to complement STUDENT/3000 and SCHOOL/3000. Financial Companion/PC allows accountants to use a PC to analyze financial information from the SCHOOL/3000 general ledger. Client/Server Scanning allows a district to scan optical mark recognition forms on a PC, such as attendance or grading forms, then transfer the scan data from the PC to the host computer for STUDENT/3000.

QSS also offers developers tools for the HP3000. QSDK is a subroutine library toolkit for HP3000 programmers who wish to develop network applications for their HP3000 without the hassle of learning network programming.

QWEBS is web server software written by QSS that runs on a HP e3000. Visit the 'Land of QWEBS' running on an HPe 3000 A400 using version 7.5 of the MPE/XL operating system.
